Lawless takes a cue from many famous action films, most notably Heat, and puts you in a command of a team of criminals completing various missions for crime bosses. In each level you must shoot enemies (mostly police officers) while dodging their return fire. Levels in Lawless usually doesn't last longer than a minute and a half but time between levels is also equally short.
There is a whole platter of customization options for your character. Aside from choosing your character, Lawless also allows you to purchase different types of guns which are bought using cash from your missions.
Tap, shoot, reload
The central feature of Lawless, firing your gun, is done by tapping where there is an enemy. Your character fires with impressive accuracy so you won't have to worry about missed shots despite tapping in the correct location. You have to be conscious of your ammo and of your health: every time you fire at an enemy, your character is exposed to gunfire.
Multiplayer in Lawless is interesting in that you can add other players to your squad for missions. If you successfully complete a level, the player is given a cut of the loot. This doesn't require the other player to be logged on to Lawless and the loot is collected the next time they log in. This works both ways meaning that other players could select your character for jobs and it's not uncommon to log in and be greeted with loot from a job.

Lawless is a fun shoot-em-up game with impressive graphics and a fresh take on multiplayer.
A lot of work has clearly been put into Lawless' graphics and it doesn't go unnoticed. Levels are filled with well-animated characters and detailed set pieces such as furniture, speeding cars, and explosions. The music for the game is well-produced and appropriately dark.
